I have always being one of those who say I can’t believe she did that, why would you want to but the more I thought about it the more I thought it would actually change my life. I had being single for nearly three years, of course I have had the odd casual sex relationship along the way but by no means were they the type to settle down with.
One of my close friends had joined an adult dating site and told me I must do the same the amount of attention she was getting made her feel on top of the world and she met Mr right but to me it wasn’t the right way you meet someone, I kind of still believed in the good old fashioned ways you meet someone and settle down. However I still hadn’t me my Mr right and at thirty my life sure as hell wasn’t the way I had planned it out, if it had gone to plan I would have being married by now and had a child or one on the way but no I was still single and not living the dream.
So after much thought and deliberation one evening I decided to see what the hype was all about no harm and it didn’t mean I had to tell anyone, it was straight forward setting it up and I even got some emails straight away but after reading the profile non were my type all just looking for sex, which may be fab for some people but not for me I wanted the whole package.
A couple of evening later after joining I got a lovely email from a guy who was just my type, well that’s if he matches up to his profile and picture he was tall dark and handsome and lived close by always a plus. The email was different to the rest he wanted to know about me, maybe it was just a different way of going about things but it got me that’s for sure, I replied and the emails flowed freely he even asked me for my number and called I have never felt so at ease talking to a guy for so long on the phone.
We arranged a date and in that instance of first meeting him I just knew I had to have him, a real gentle man holding doors and just being polite exactly what I wanted from a man. After the date we spent all of our spare time together friends asked what put a smile on my face, when I told them they looked genuinely shocked they couldn’t believe I had joined the rat race.
So it’s a year since we met we are now living together and have a date for the wedding for a months’ time and the best of all bits I am expecting, so a year later than I had planned I am living the dream all thanks to the adult dating site.
