Dating Sites Dates

Many people don't quite realize that another large part of deciding to work with a dating agency is that you actually will date different people interested in you, and they very well might be blind dates. So, here's a few tips about what to do after you've secured that dating agency date and now you're actually there at the time that you've been simultaneously loving and dreading: The date.

First of all, a dating agency looks for compatibility between you and your date, but don't think that you're going to know everything about him or her, that they will be perfect copies of your interests, or that they're going to look a certain way. Even if you've seen pictures, the point is to be open-minded. It is entirely possible that your dating agency has seen something that you two are both interested in that you may not have really considered before.

Secondly, any date with someone you haven't really met before needs to be short, so when you are through with finding out from the dating agency that this person wants a date, you need to be sure that you find something that's short, sweet and fun. The point is to get to know this person that before the dating agency only told you about through similar interests or through a phone call. So, that means that you need to choose simple, short and fun things to do that won't keep you forever.

Also, while your dating agency has obviously checked this person out before you even thought about a date, you'll still want to find yourself some sort of escape route during any date. So, the dating agency knows he isn't dangerous, but that doesn't mean that what the dating agency thinks is your perfect match is what you feel is your perfect match, so if it's not going well, make sure you have a few planned excuses you can use to get out of it. A good one is to have friends meet you at the mall or something where you can say that you promised to go shopping. It's surefire.

Most of all, don't think that because the dating agency has found you a match that you don't have to do any work. You still need to be yourself, to be open enough so that they get to know the real you, and not the you that you think they want to see. You'd be surprised at how little all that matching the dating agency does really helps others get to know you. After all, even if you're both into Science Fiction, he may like Picard and you might like Kirk, which, for some people, can be a deal breaker.

Finally, just remember that not everyone is honest when associating with a dating agency, so always go with your gut, and if you think that he might be exhibiting some warning signs, then you should definitely follow your instincts. Just because a dating agency sees that he's compatible with your interests and other criteria doesn't mean that they can automatically sense the perfect chemistry.
